As part of ASSP’s annual Safety 2027 Conference & Expo, Lecture Sessions are traditional, instructor-led sessions designed to share knowledge and insights with a broad audience. Presenters deliver structured content supported by a PowerPoint presentation. Rooms are arranged in theater-style to accommodate forward-facing learning. Ideal for research findings, case studies, and best practice overviews.

Speaker proposals are evaluated objectively with emphasis on the following criteria listed in order of significance:

  • Degree to which the proposed session meets the conference/program objectives
  • Desirability of the topic
  • Speaker's presentation skills and experience

Proposals to present must contain and convey sufficient detail to allow ASSP's Conference Planning Committee to understand how the proposed session will contribute to the conference objectives.

Selection is competitive, so you must submit a compelling and complete proposal.  No more than two proposals from one speaker will be considered. Please complete a separate application for each proposal. Incomplete  submissions will not be considered.   Call for Presenters Guidelines

Educational Session Policy

To maintain the educational integrity of the conference and protect attendee privacy, presenters may not collect attendee contact information, scan badges, distribute handouts, or conduct promotional, advertising, marketing, or sales activities during Lecture Sessions or Industry Roundtables. All session content must be educational in nature and free from commercial promotion.

ASSP has the sole authority and responsibility for selecting the topics and content of all educational programming it delivers.

As part of ASSP’s annual Safety 2027 Conference & Expo, Industry Roundtable Session are collaborative, discussion-based sessions designed to break up the traditional sit-and-listen format of other concurrent sessions. These sessions are lead by two facilitators providing a casual, highly-interactive space for attendees to engage with others in their industry, share challenges and explore solutions together.

Volunteering to lead an Industry Roundtable is a powerful way to give back to your professional community while also learning from your peers. We appreciate your time, perspective and willingness to help others grow.

What makes them unique?

  • Small group setting (typically fewer than 100 attendees)
  • No formal presentations or slides
  • Designed to promote conversation, networking and idea-sharing

Not a fit if:

  • You’re looking to delivery a forward-facing presentation or lecture
  • You want to use A/V (projectors, slides, etc.)
